Skelmersdale: A New Town is a fully illustrated book with 65 colour and 53 black and white images. The book covers the history of the former new town Skelmersdale from its original designation to the present. Many of the images have been contributed by past and present residents of the town and from the rarely seen archive of the original Skelmersdale Development Corporation.
